Feature Summary

The new QUAD system is basically 2 slightly modified C2HS's, offering the user 4 rows of rollers to support 2 kicker pallets side by side or a 463L pallet. The first picture below shows a section of the QUAD. Note the two sets of rollers are connected together with two beams which allow the locking mechanism and the rollers to slide along the beam and be pinned at various widths to accommodate your cargo needs.

Below are detailed views of the locking mechanism, note the holes in the beam which pin the lock and the roller trays.

The view below demonstrates how the roller trays are secured to the aircraft. The lock (top right) is pinned anywhere along the beam. The beam also passes through a cutout on the roller tray so the beam can pierce the side guide rail. This secures the outboard roller tray under the seats since no rings are available at that location. The inboard roller tray locks onto the 5K rings at BL +-20.

The two pictures below show the side guide rail. The rail is attached to the deck using a mechanism very similar to the HICHS. The rings are bolted to the rail (this requires the use of a hand tool)

Also note the cut outs on the side rail for the beam to pass through.

In addition, if the roller trays need to be completely stowed under the seat they can be configured as shown below. This configuration also allows for easy transport of the system
